Accion is excited to announce the launch of Kiva in San Diego! This initiative is a collaboration between two nonprofit organizations Accion San Diego and Kiva, the world's first and largest micro-lending platform. Through utilizing the Kiva.org web platform, you will be able to directly support San Diego small businesses by making small loans to actual businesses.
You can visit our client page on Kiva and browse San Diego small business owners' profiles and stories and choose who you want to support with a loan of $25 or more. Loans funded through Kiva have a 98 percent repayment rate, so the money you lend is truly a loan.
